This book explores how we understand the concept of God. Many people who reject the idea of God do so rightly. The 'god' that they reject, I also reject. The language still used comes from another age, where 'sky gods', witchcraft and sorcery were still believed in.In the 21st Century such language and ideas will not do for most people, yet many people still think there is "something more to life".It is time for a paradigm shift in our thinking and to recognise that religious language is poetic not factual and deals with those aspects of life that make us most truly human and humane.

In memory of Ruth we are raising money to purchase Snuggle Beds for the terminally ill at Southampton Hospital. These beds will allow the family and friends of those who are ill to cuddle them without risking falling off the bed, and their partners/ spouses will be able to stay with them in hospital without having to sleep in a separate bed.
